Some time ago I entered the world of art exhibitions and started painting on unusual canvases such as books. Two of my first books included ‘Cheery Cooky’ and, shown here, ‘Lucky the Cat’. These works symbolized my transition from illustration to art and therefore I have always kept them. That is until now, because I am offering these two works for sale.
The first book is ‘Lucky the Cat’ and is the first painted (mixed media) book cover I made. The work is signed, dated and numbered on the side as #1 in the painted books serie. The wooden frame measures 26,5 x 34,5 x 3,2 cm / 10.43 x 13.58 x 1.25” The frame is the original frame.
